Behind the Scenes
September 18, 2008 | Comments (3) |
For Fall 2008 we delved a little into our dark and eerie side and used dark rich colors like plums, rust and black patents and tone on tone silk screen of black birds and shadow puppets.
So for our Fall 2008 images we decided to creep our way over with the amazingly talented photographer,
Andrew Yee, to 23rd and 8th Avenue to the Hotel Chelsea.
The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, but of course our room was located down a long dark hallway with flickering lights that kind of made you feel like you were in the movie "The Shining" EEK!
The closet where we kept our bags during the shoot was covered with the words "I'm not sorry!! I'm not sorry!" scrawled all over the inside with lipstick! What happened in there?
<---Our poor baggies, they must have been creeped out in there!
<---- Clipping loose threads and organizing the wardrobe for the different looks.
<---Andrew making it look so easy to compose these amazing images.
<---- Video by
Tim Regan.<----Our lovely model Dasha getting her hair done.
<--- My sister getting her hair done!
<---- What a nice sister I have to lie face down on that dingy hotel floor for
these shots.
<--- Working away into the night! It was a lot of fun and hard work but Andrew captured the mood for fall perfectly. Everyone on set worked really well together and had some fun while we were at it. Thank you everyone!
